3 BUCKS LEFT - The Purty Kitchen - Nov 8

Dún Laoghaire Comedy Festival presents; 3 Bucks Left

3 Bucks Left is a spin-off of County Mayo’s own Hardy Bucks and was created by childhood friends and total, utter piss takers.

This Satire is laden with comedy and pathos throughout, inspiring many other acts in its wake. Now a decade later, it remains one of Ireland’s favourite comedy shows.

It’s been a wild ride of ups and downs. Crude, lofty, self-deprecating introspection, coupled with rowdy philosophies. Such misadventures are not for the faint of heart. Ruggedly charming, extremely funny riding close to the wind.

BIG LOVE - Live at The Purty Kitchen + special guests to be told

Big Love perform their very first show at The Purty Kitchen this October! + Special guests to be announced

BIG LOVE are an alternative rock outfit based in Dublin, Ireland.

Their expansive sound is influenced by the likes of Radiohead, Go Go Penguin, Deftones, Cocteau Twins and The Strokes. Displaying an eclectic range of songs that plunge to dark, cavernous depths with guitar driven soundscapes and rise to euphoric, lung-busting heights, led by their earworm vocal melodies, their live shows are a must-see.

BIG LOVE released their debut single ‘Lily’ in early 2021 to much critical acclaim, featuring multiple times in the RTÉ Recommends playlist. After a series of live shows across Ireland in 2023, including performances at Electric Picnic, Other Voices and another sold-out headline show at Workman's Club, the group is posed to take 2024 by storm.

Having recorded their debut album in 2023 with producer Matt Glasbey (Alt-J, Sorry, Bloc Party) across Black Mountain Studios and London, they are gearing up to release a raft of new music. So far in 2024, the band has been listed as one of Whelan's Ones to Watch and HotPress' Hot for 2024. Their album is set for release in early 2025.

Reggie for President! - Oct 18 - Dún Laoghaire Music Festival

After years of tyranny under Michael D. Higgins (who is from Limerick – he keeps that quiet), Reggie has decided to run for Uachtarán na hÉireann, which means President of Ireland in case you only did pass Irish for the Inter Cert.

In the run-up to the election in 2025, Reggie is travelling to every nook and cranny in Ireland. His tour will take him to the northside of Cork, minor cities such as Dublin and Limerick, along with sad small towns which have been by-passed by progress and advances in personal hygiene.

Join him as he reaches out to the ordinary people of Ireland without touching them, unless they are gorgeous. You don’t want to miss it.
